Customer Service Associate – Temporary

About the Role

Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.

Customer Experience

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits (greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied)

Operations

• Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
• Recommend items for sale and suggest trade-up and/or companion items
• Register customer purchases, collect cash and distribute change; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records; check in and price merchandise as directed
• Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (alcoholic beverages and tobacco products)
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions
• Assist with food item separation and stock rotation using first in, first out method
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and poster print
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance; ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred
