About the Role
The Director of Culinary Operations reports to the VP of Culinary and Executive Chef, responsible for Culinary Production and Culinary Park Operations — planning and supporting food and beverage initiatives, leading culinary teams, and setting standards for culinary excellence.
What You'll Do
- Develop and mentor senior chefs; create training opportunities for chefs and managers
- Conduct food tastings, evaluate presentations, and establish food specifications
- Direct sustainability initiatives; manage restaurant/food service P&Ls
- Standardize recipes, portion sizes, and presentation across venues
- Control food costs via inventory management, portion control, and waste reduction
- Ensure compliance with food quality, safety, labor, and union guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive culinary leadership experience
- Fluent understanding of restaurant/food service P&Ls and venue budgets
Pay & Benefits
$120,000–$170,000/yr, bonus eligible. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement.
