Guest Advocate

About the Role

Starting pay: $19.25/hr

As a Guest Advocate at Target, you are an advocate of the guest experience — welcoming, thanking, and exceeding guest service expectations. You are empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive up.

Responsibilities

• At 10ft: be friendly — smile, make eye contact, or wave
• At 4ft: greet the guest, smile, and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Make guests aware of current promos, store activities, and events; demonstrate the Target App including Wallet
• Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest; assist with sign-up and sign-in
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; direct guests to enroll and use these features
• Accurately handle cash register operations; process returns and exchanges following register prompts
