Overnight Custodian

About the role

As a custodian, you'll be part of the team helping to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the Warner Bros. Discovery studio lot and its many office buildings. This role works the overnight shift: 6pm–2:30am.

What you'll do

• Keep buildings and property in clean and orderly condition.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties throughout studio backlot offices and buildings.
• Sweep, mop, wax, or vacuum floors; gather and empty trash.
• Scrub, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities (private offices and public).
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment.
• Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers per instructions.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Physical exertion requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting and maneuvering weights up to 50+ lbs.
• Driving golf carts between buildings, both within the studio lot and on public roads to other company buildings off-lot.

Requirements

• Prefer 1-2 years large commercial facilities (medical center, school campus, major hotel) janitorial experience.
• Must have a working knowledge of English.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours; perform repetitive motion for long periods.
• Experience using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions (MSDS).
• Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals; knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules.
• Valid CA Driver's License preferred; a record of safe driving with at least 6 months of driving history.

Schedule

Overnight shift: 6pm–2:30am. Possibility of weekend and/or holiday shifts.

Pay & benefits

Pay Rate: $21 per hour, plus potential bonuses and incentives.
