About the Role
The Universal Brand Development Group is seeking a Senior Designer of Product Design Development for the Consumer Products division, leading creative development of apparel and fashion accessories (bags, headwear, footwear) across IPs like Jurassic World, Minions, and Shrek.
What You'll Do
- Analyze fashion trends and develop product concepts merging character aesthetics with modern fashion
- Lead translation of macro/micro fashion trends into cohesive collections
- Provide licensees detailed design feedback on textiles, construction, and graphic placement
- Adapt and expand Universal's style guides for garment and accessory construction
- Review licensee submissions via Lunchpad from concept through final sample
- Partner with Category Management, Legal, and Franchise teams
Requirements
- 4+ years of senior-level fashion design experience (apparel, bags, footwear)
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite proficiency; strong Fashion Tech Pack and 3D garment construction knowledge
- Professional portfolio blending fashion trends with character-based IP
- Some travel may be required
Schedule
Hybrid — minimum four days per week in office.
