Sterile Processing Technician II (Woodland Hills - Part-Time Day)

About the role

Decontaminates, cleans, packages, sterilizes, stores and distributes medical/surgical equipment and supplies in accordance with CDC, OSHA, EPA, AAMI, Title 22, APIC, SGNA, and JC guidelines. Part-time, day shift, Woodland Hills.

What you'll do

• Fills orders from requesting departments.
• Makes equipment rounds and returns soiled equipment to SPD; cleans equipment per manufacturer recommendations and validates functionality prior to storage.
• Inventories and restocks supplies and specialty carts (isolation, latex, crash carts, etc.) per department policy.
• Orders specialty beds and other patient equipment per medical center practice.
• Disassembles, cleans, and decontaminates surgical instruments, including ultrasonic cleaning.
• Assembles, inspects, tests, wraps and dates all OR sets, including specialty sets, per department protocol.
• Operates equipment in the Sterile Processing Department, including steam sterilizers, plasma sterilizers, automated endoscope reprocessors, biological incubators, heat sealers, and instrument/cart washers.
• Uses instrument and equipment tracking systems, including documentation of tests and sterilizer records.
• Prepares OR case carts according to preference cards for all surgical procedures.
