Supervisor Patient Access - Admitting

About the Role

The Patient Access Supervisor directs and supervises Admitting and Communication department operations and staff at Providence Tarzana Medical Center — patient registration, switchboard/emergency paging systems, and the physician answering service.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and evaluate staff registering inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients, ensuring accurate, professional service
• Generate complete, accurate final patient bills for all insurers; coordinate the electronic billing system and cashier office
• Attend hospital management meetings and participate in management, patient care, and quality assurance committees

Requirements

• California Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire
• 1 year of supervisor experience

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field; 2 years in patient accounts/admissions/registration and communications industry experience.
