About the role

This position represents 4 openings. As the leader of the health care team, provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures at Woodland Hills Medical Center.

What you'll do

• Serves as a leader of the health care team; delegates tasks appropriately and demonstrates accountability.
• Understands own and team members' scope of practice and escalates issues as appropriate.
• Champions new ideas and leads others through the change process.
• Develops and/or contributes to the individualized plan of care reflecting assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating outcomes.
• Monitors the patient's progress and revises the plan based on condition and evaluation.
• Ensures effective development and completion of discharge plans, including patient/family education.
• Ensures patient safety related to medications, procedures, falls prevention, and infection prevention.
• Ensures optimal pain control and patient comfort.
• Practices customer service standards; promptly answers call lights, alarms, and patient requests.
• Maintains and protects patient confidentiality; treats patients and families with courtesy, respect, kindness and compassion.
