About the Role

Manager, Blood Bank, Day Shift Full Time at Adventist Health Glendale — a Magnet-designated, 515-bed hospital between Burbank and Pasadena. Leads and manages Blood Bank operations, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of all departmental services.

What You'll Do

• Provide overall direction and supervision of departmental staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management
• Oversee departmental budgeting, supply management, policies, and regulatory/accreditation compliance
• Administer medical and technical policies for blood bank operations, including patient/donor safety
• Direct financial management of the Blood Bank (budgeting, cost control, billing)
• Lead quality assurance and quality control programs; collaborate with pathologists and lab leadership on long-term goals

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent required
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent state licensure required

Preferred: Master's degree; 5 years' clinical laboratory experience including blood bank/transfusion services; 2 years' leadership experience; ASCP Blood Banking certification.
