About the Role
Walt Disney Imagineering designs and brings to life all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions, and cruise ships worldwide. This full-time role sits within the Executive Ride Software Engineering team.
What You'll Do
- Define, analyze, and validate fail-safe motion control systems
- Specify, design, and implement safety-critical control software on real-time operating systems
- Install, integrate, and test high-capacity, human-rated control systems domestically and overseas
- Perform acceptance testing using Earned Value tracking
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience with IDEs, compilers, linkers, debuggers
- Understanding of C++, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, computer science, math, or a valid PE license
Preferred
- Ride Control and/or Theme Park experience
- UML proficiency, Control Theory
Schedule
Primarily based in Glendale, CA; travel/relocation up to ~20% of the time.
