Walt Disney Imagineering imagines, designs, and brings to life all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions, and cruise ships worldwide. Ride Development Engineers own every aspect of mechanical ride system design and development from concept through installation.
What You'll Do
- Conceive, design, and deliver complex, innovative ride systems and equipment
- Distill technical requirements from high-level story descriptions and artwork
- Supervise an engineering & design team through design, mockups, production, and installation
- Lead large-scale prototype and mock-up efforts
- Lead field installation, support, and testing of ride mechanical equipment
- Travel/relocate domestically and internationally to support Ride Development efforts
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience
- Advanced engineering knowledge (statics, dynamics, tolerances, kinematics, stress/strain)
- Ability to perform structural analysis
Full-time role reporting to the Executive Ride Development Engineering.
