About the Role
Walt Disney Imagineering's Ride Studio is hiring a Senior Ride Control Hardware Engineer, reporting to the Ride Control Systems Engineering Executive. Full-time.
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver control systems for complex, innovative ride systems (programmable, electrical, electronic hardware)
- Perform engineering design/analysis for electrical control systems; develop control system and network architectures
- Research new products, technologies, and methodologies
- Lead a team of ride control engineers; manage vendors, contractors, and consultants
- Conduct hazard assessments, failure modes/effects analysis, and factory acceptance tests
Requirements
- 5+ years of controls experience, including fail-safe/safety-related control system design
- Extensive knowledge of control processors and communication protocols (TCP/IP, CAN, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT)
- Knowledge of UL508a, NEC, and ASTM F2291 standards
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for extended durations
- Bachelor of Science in engineering required
